SUGAR

CASSA prepares different kinds of sugar for the national market, the industrial market and for direct consumption. These include brown sugar (crude), white standard and refined.

On the international market, the following types of sugars are exported: Crude Sugar, White Standard Sugar, White Sugar 150 UI, and Refined Sugar.

These products are exported in the following presentations: 1 kg, 25 kg, 50 kg, 1 MT, 1.1 MT, wholesale, and as requested by the customer.

Likewise, the Salvadoran agroindustry invests over a million dollars annually, adding Vitamin A to the sugar sold locally. It is important to note that this supplement benefits the health of Salvadorans, particularly children, given that through its consumption, there has been a sharp reduction in the percentage of child blindness, and malnutrition in the same population group.
